Since 1994, under Artistic Director Laura Schmieder, Music in the Mansion at Greystone Park has presented concerts featuring selected prize-winning international and local artists.
These programs feature the finest in solo and chamber music performances and interviews with the artists.

Music in the Mansion | Helix Collective

Helix Collective is a Los Angeles-based ensemble that specializes in multi-media, collaborative performance and recording. Helix has released two critically acclaimed albums and has recorded the scores for over a dozen films. The ensemble is at home in nightclubs and on the concert stage from a residency at Los Angeles's venerable Silverlake Lounge to performances for the West Michigan and Pacific Symphonies. Helix "has a little something for everyone: those who like their classics straight up, with a contemporary edge to it, or with populist appeal" (Audiophile Audition Magazine). Called "dizzyingly virtuosic with exquisite musicianship and world-class range" by The Free Times and praised for their "beyond-the-ordinary programming," the flexible ensemble has a core instrumentation of flute, oboe, piano and percussion, and expands to a small chamber orchestra. The group is the resident ensemble of the Los Angeles Live Score Film Festival and recently performed at the Women Composers in Media event in Los Angeles. Their 2018 Music in the Mansion concert featured a narrative "musical" based on the theme of Los Angeles. Performers included Sarah Robinson on flute, Phil Popham on oboe, Kathryn Eames on piano and Lorry Black on marimba. Music in the Mansion | Karin� Proghosyan

Making her orchestral debut at age 14, renowned concert pianist Karin� Proghosyan has since performed at many prestigious concert halls and received an outpour of exuberant reviews and awards. Fascinated by the work of the Soviet Armenian composer Aram Khachaturian, Ms. Poghosyan discovered that his piano works had rarely been performed. Her recently released solo CD "Khachaturian Original Piano Works and Ballet Transcriptions" is an unparalleled and an exciting body of work that is a must listen! Her upcoming solo performances include a spring tour through California and her return to Carnegie Hall on June 7th. Ms. Poghosyan will also be bringing her refreshing energy to the Newburgh Symphony Orchestra for a performance of Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 3. Music in the Mansion | Los Angeles Ensemble

Formed in 2015, the Los Angeles Ensemble (LAE) is comprised of winners of international competitions who have trained in leading music schools worldwide. This performance features pianist Sung Chang, cellist Bingxia Lu, violist Tanner Menees and violinist Joanna Lee. LAE was awarded First Prize at the International Music Competition Grand Prize Virtuoso in London and Fourth Prize at the Schoenfeld International String Competition in Harbin, China. Music in the Mansion | Cristina Montes Mateo

The City of Beverly Hills prides itself in bringing its residents, visitors and patrons of the arts the finest in solo and chamber music performances. Since 1994, under Artistic Director Laura Schmieder, Music in the Mansion at Greystone Park has presented concerts featuring selected prize-winning international and local artists. This month, BHTV10 features the opening performance of the 2018 season with harpist Cristina Montes Mateo. Currently based in Los Angeles, Ms. Mateo is Principal Harpist at the Orquestra de la Comunitat Valenciana, created by Lorin Maazel. She is recognized throughout the world as one of the leading harpists of her generation.
